Events Throughout the Year
Snap Dragon Dairy and
Farm Activities
- We Were Just Kidding
Seriously, February is always an incredible month for expanding the Snap Dragon Dairy herd! We had a bumper crop of babies arrive in 2011 - over 20 kids - and we're very excited about what we'll see in 2012. Stay tuned!
- The Ides of Milk
Milk sales will resume in late March/early April. Be sure to contact us with your request for "Canada's best" early. Demand for our goat's milk has been increasing, so to ensure prompt delivery, contact us ASAP for your requirements.
- Kids for Sale
We love them all, but we can't keep them all. Our selective breeding program has produced some exquisite crosses, ideal for upgrading your herd, for use as a 4H project, or for simply loving as the sweetest pet you will ever own. Contact us soon...Snap Dragon Dairy babies are in high demand. Watch for a detailed listing on our For Sale page.
- Open Farm Day
Every year we set aside a day in April to have an "open house" for everyone to visit the Snap Dragon Dairy farm and see our babies. It's a great day of fun for all who attend, and we enjoy sharing a glimpse of the working farm life. Contact us for this year's scheduled date.
- Farm Tours
Book your Snap Dragon Dairy tour today! (Or, at least as soon as possible.) We welcome groups and individuals who want to learn about farm life and our micro dairy, but due to the demands of actually operating our farm, we must restrict tours to those by appointment only. Contact us to schedule a suitable time - we'd love to have you come visit!
Snap Dragon Dairy - Future Plans
Snap Dragon Dairy is actively looking into the idea of making goat milk ice cream from our own pure and beautiful goat milk. We plan
on using locally produced organic blueberries, raspberries, wild-harvest black berries and huckleberries, locally grown walnuts, and big-leaf
maple syrup.
Goat milk ice cream, with half the fat of regular ice cream, tastes wonderful and would be available to all the lactose intolerant souls, unable to enjoy ice cream! We will keep you informed.
